Local Favorite Comedian and Disc Jockey to Host Awkward Silence 2.1

LAS VEGAS, August 15, 2011 — The VEGAS VIDEO NETWORK®, the first and only live online broadcasting network in Las Vegas, today announced comedian Brandon “Gooch” Hahn as the new host of Awkward Silence 2.1. The show will be broadcast live every Friday at 12:30PM Pacific.
Awkward Silence 2.1 will deliver a fast-paced look at today’s headlines and current events with a slightly twisted point of view. Features will include news updates, live “remotes” and interviews with high-profile comedians and entertainers.
“While many forms of entertainment continue to struggle in these tougher times, comedy remains a powerful draw,” said Scott Whitney, founder of the VEGAS VIDEO NETWORK, “With Gooch’s experience as both a headlining comedian and popular disc jockey, combined with his unusual outlook on life, Awkward Silence 2.1 will be a perfect show for people looking for a hilarious way to spend 30 minutes.”
Well known for sharing his unique perspectives on modern life weekdays on Las Vegas’ KOMP 92.3, Gooch continues to thrive as an award-winning comedian. After slugging it out in the local Vegas comedy scene for the past twelve years, Gooch has played all the major clubs in the area, including The Playboy Comedy Club, The Improv, The Rivera Comedy Club and Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club.
“I’ve always wanted to host my own show and the Vegas Video Network is kind of like my make-a-wish foundation. . .except I’m not dying,” said Gooch, “It’s only a matter of time until this style of broadcasting becomes the norm and the Vegas Video Network is leading the way.”
As with all VEGAS VIDEO NETWORK programming, Awkward Silence 2.1 is broadcast live and feature live chat questions from an online audience. The show will also be available as video-on-demand on the network’s website (http://VegasVideoNetwork.com) and through a variety of syndication partners, including iTunes and YouTube.
Awkward Silence 2.1 begins broadcasting on August 19th, 2011.
