Hey, All.
After the most recent upgraded to WordPress 4.2.2, we discovered our Roku channel stopped properly displaying all our video on demand content. After a longer-than-I’d-like process of taking care of this issue, we have it fixed. HOWEVER, we had to submit a new “package” to Roku, which will take up to TWO WEEKS to be approved. (Blech.)
That’s the crappy news.
The good news is that I can provide the secret URL to the fixed Vegas Video Network channel so that you can subscribe to it before it goes public. Here’s how:
This will look for any software update for your Roku (good) AND also look for any new channels. It will find Vegas Video Network and load it on your Roku.
Now, when you look at your list of channels, you’ll find a second Vegas Video Network channel at the end. Use that one until we’re officially approved. Then, you can go back to your original VVN channel.
5/18/15 Update: The channel is fixed. Follow the third step above and you’ll see the corrected VVN Roku channel.

In a first for the Living in Las Vegas Podcast, after over six years of successful shows, we have a complete studio failure at the PodWorx studio (vs. the Vegas Video Network studio). This episode is the result of that event. (Anybody want to buy a $7900 computer. . .that doesn’t power up?)
After pouring through our entries for the Vegas Video Network One-Year Anniversary trivia question for a Roku 2 XD Streaming Player, we have a winner. As a reminder, here’s the question:
"Beginning with the first Pub Crawl episode on October 6th, 2010 and ending on October 8th, 2011, how many episodes network-wide have we produced on the Vegas Video Network?"
We excluded any video that wasn’t part of a show (VVN Events, studio building videos, etc.) The contest closed at end-of-business Friday, October 14. Because we didn’t get an exact correct answer, the rule is the closest answer without going over will win.

Our winner is Tony from Canada with a guess of 277 is Bob with a guess of 295. (Yep, I forgot to count Strip Search in the first post. Whoops! My guess is Tony is hating me right now!) I should give a helluva attaboy to Bob from Vegas Life Today who was the closest with a guess of 295, but he was over the total. (Nevermind all that. . .Bob is the winner!)

In celebration of this special event, we take a look back at the year by highlighting the business, the people, the videos (great highlight reel here!) and momentum behind VVN. We wrapped up the party with a triva question for our online viewers (live and video-on-demand), for whom the winner will receive a Roku 2 XD player.
