Great show, you guys are hilarious, fun and surprisingly educational.
“Surprisingly” educational? Ouch, I think!! 😉
Thanks, Scott!
So, I used to tip like Brett said, 10% on a jackpot, but if I’m down, no need for me to give more of my money away. And when I was asking around, I got a lot of feedback that I was overtipping (from players, not casino employees). So, I became more moderate in my tipping. And I see a lot of people not tipping at all, which I think is lame.
The other thing is slot jackpots $1200+ incur tax for most people (as Brett stated). So, let’s say I put in $500 and hit a $1200 jackpot. I’m then p $700, but I’m responsible for tax on the $1200. My tax on the $1200 is probably around %40. So after spending $500, I win $1200 and pay $480 in taxes. I’m up $220. 10% of my $1200 jackpot is $120. So after hitting a $1200 jackpot, I’m up $100 – tip ends up being more than my actual win (which I suppose is better than being down my initial $500 buy-in, but still…)
Very interesting, Jacquie. Very much like the show itself, this was “surprisingly informative”! 😉
I didn’t factor in the “cost basis” for your jackpot. Most casual players might be in for $100, but a hard core player, likely has a bigger stack in that jackpot. Valid point, Jacquie.
Hi,
just my 2 cents regarding tipping. As an European guy , it is hard for me to tip a room maid for a room that cost 300 USD a night plus resort fee . For that kind of money I expect great service without tips.
I think you need a new co-host. Last week Disney land & mickey Mouse (don’t care) this week Ketchup (now it is hitting home). A guy needs his vegetables ………… Come on no need to fight all American icons.

Hmm. . .dissension from our European friends.
