Three firsts in this episode of Awkward Silence — Post-production editing took place (some things should not be shared among friends), a Parental Advisory is on pretty much every frame of this episode, and we prove that a spit-take is comedy gold. Show notes:
- I’ll be playing the part of Brandt Tobler
- Early insults
- Co-host selections
- LA vs NY
- Brian’s comedy career, revisited
- Daddy loves you
- How much does a comedian earn in a year
- Corporate gigs
- Stealing jokes
- Fit or Fat update
- Joke writing process
- Favorite comedians
- Breaking into other “rooms” in Vegas
- Starting your own comedy club
- Kidneys
- Dark and profane: Brain is your host
- Swearing in front of your kids
- Brian pours a heavy shot(s)
- Scott’s tequila-induced spit-take
. . .and that’s just the first 40 minutes.
“SW: Is this going to be funny? BM: Maybe. . .if you like kids dying.”
You missed the best part, where I throw up tequila for 10 mins outside of your studio.
-Fucky fuck fuck
f3,
Should have followed my lead — 1 shot for me, 1 shot (sprayed) for person across table. Rinse and repeat. Same tasting effect, less consumption.
great show
Thanks Dave. I’ll gladly endure spit takes once a week for your enjoyment.
Not sure my liver can keep up with the likes of Triple-F.
Firstly: probably the best show so far, B’Mo is awesome and Scott did a good job with the questions as Brian struggled to keep the show moving in a straightish line as SW would ask one question before the previous one was answered almost sending B’mo onto alcohol induced tilt.
Secondly: Scott chill out on the language thing, the people know what they want and what they want is Mollica rampant.
The pussies who don’t like bad language can fuck off and watch something else, personally I find this to be the best show on the network by some distance and I say that as a person who thinks the Living in LV podcast is the best Vegas podcast by a long way – (Sorry TAI cannot be included in that category as it’s just a podcast based in Vegas, I would listen to it regardless of where they were).
With Living in LV we know what we will get, with Awkward Silence anything can happen and that’s the magic.. I also think all the shows from now on should include alcohol!
P.S. why do you tape over the bottles?
Re: Tape on bottles — It’s simple, really. Why should the massive VEGAS VIDEO NETWORK advertise some brewery if they aren’t smart enough to pay for such advertising. Answer? We shouldn’t!
(Not sure we should have alcohol on Getting REAL (Estate) in Vegas. . .would likely lead to more than a few “Friday Figure” errors, I would think!)
Leave it to Ace to be way dirtier in one post than we’ve been in 9 episodes.
Just getting around to watching this.
Actually a very good episode even prior to the wheels flying off.
I think the amount of material for a ‘highlights’ reel is growing. Scott spraying a Tequela shot, the woman comic belching ect.
I think you should start selling studio audience tickets. I would pay to see this. This is much better than Penn and Teller.
Wheels flying off? What wheels? I thought the entire episodes was completely in control.
No, really.
Selling tickets? Hmmm. . . .
Or at least a two drink minimum…
You can tell Scott chooses the stills for the Show’s cover.
Scott was almost endearing with his heartfelt compliments that Brian’s years of built-up, self-deprecation so easily deflected. Its a great show – you should both be proud.
Guilty. (And, I might add, approved by Brian.)
